In 2017 we commissioned a fully-automated, hi-tech cement grinding mill & bulk cement manufacturing facility that added 1 Million Metric Tons per annum to the existing capacity of Tokyo Cement, bringing the total to 2.8 Million MTs per annum.
This investment project worth over USD 50 Million included; the setting up of a fully-automated dry mortar manufacturing plant to produce innovative value-added products, a new 8 MW biomass power plant for the new factory, expansion of the private jetty in Trincomalee to accommodate larger vessels and new cement storage silos to ensure an uninterrupted supply.
