Tokyo Cement Group continuously seek ways to create more value for the Construction Industry of Sri Lanka in our efforts to Build the Nation. While re engineering our products in a way that transforms traditional construction practices to meet higher productivity and efficiency standards, we have extended The Company’s reach in certain service areas that enrich and empower the Industry. Sharing our strengths in areas that help uplift the industry to be future-ready is a responsibility we have readily undertaken and thrived in.

As part of this mission, we set up a state-of-the-art laboratory for cement, concrete and cement-based product testing as a critical value addition to the industry. This laboratory becoming Sri Lanka’s first and only ISO17025 accredited testing facility, in itself stands proof of the value it delivers in uplifting Sri Lanka to be on par with any other country in the world.

Having understood the importance of empowering industry professionals with the right set of skills and competencies, we set up a Construction Training Academy in Dambulla. The Academy provides free training facilities for masons to become NVQ qualified construction craftsmen, who are active participants in reshaping the country’s infrastructural landscape. In addition, Tokyo Cement Group also conducts capacity building seminars for masons across the Island, to share best practices and provide professional guidance in the building construction discipline. These efforts have yielded in a network of NVQ qualified masons empowered with skills and knowledge on latest methodologies in construction.
